Dear Members of the Korean Society for Radiation Oncology,
Our society has a meaningful time to wrap up the history of vibrant and dynamic development over the past 40 years.
It is time to take an overwhelming step toward what the history of social development has meant to our members over the past time, looking forward to the era of leap forward with hope.
Both I and the executives in their 22s want to keep the direction of this conference stable and current operation in line with the history of the conference in their 40s and middle age.
It is important to maintain the appearance and future orientation of the meeting based on active communication between the members of the meeting.
Now, our society must set solid core values for its existence, set its mission and vision, and take a future-oriented step forward.
We will make every effort to increase the role of radiation therapy in cancer treatment by strengthening academic exchanges and cooperation with many multidisciplinary societies.
We will do our best to support academic exchanges so that we can expand our role as a leader in multidisciplinary cancer treatment
Opinions will be expressed in a policy response basis with consistency in areas that should be a bridge between the government's policy stance and the rights and interests of members, such as insurance, education and training, and medical guidelines. In the future, the field of radiation oncology will continue to develop steadily, and with the members
Both I and the executives will be enthusiastic about the important mission of bringing about the sustainable structure of the conference.
We will also spare no effort in the development of our journal, the Journal of Radiation Oncology.
We will make great efforts to raise our society's status in the field of international cooperation and to compare the shoulders with the international stage of radiation oncology.
Finally, both I and the executive team are members of the academic community of new, forward-looking activities that we have not been able to do in each committee
We will do our best to propose and make it a meaningful activity.
Members are the leaders of society. I hope that your various opinions, including executives, will be conveyed to me
I'm looking forward to it. Through this, our society will be able to develop in the direction that its members expect and support
We ask for your active participation, lots of advice, and members.
Thank you.
Park Hee-chul, president of the Society of Radiation Oncology
